All proceeds from the auction will support the mission of Theopolis.
About the Sculpture
Height: 17"
Base: 14" x 17"
Material: metal-plated stone resin
Colour: bronze-white
Weight: approx. 10lbs
Year: 2019
This sculpture is the original model for the National Life monument, a monumental sculpture depicting a mother and a world-shaped womb with the child at its center. Its organic design uses drapery forms to draw the viewer’s attention inward, toward a mirrored steel center that reflects both the surrounding world and those who stand before it. In this way, the work places the viewer within the sculpture itself, symbolizing a shared connection to the source of life.
Monumental installations of Life can be found in Rome, at San Marcello al Corso, and in Washington, D.C., on the campus of Theological College.
